We recently collaborated with the Don Wood Foundation to bring the Manufacturing Experience day camp to Noble County for the second time. It was an educational and fun-filled day as 6-8 graders were able to see a drone in action, operate a robotic machine, learn to solder, and program electrical stations.

Thank you to all the partners that made it possible: Northeast Indiana Works, Bosch, The Community Learning Center, Be Noble Inc., Freedom Academy, and Impact Institute.

The camp was the third in a series designed to expose students to various aspects of manufacturing. The first camp was held in October 2022 in Noble County. The Amp Lab at Electric Works was the location of the second ME camp in March 2023. The plan is to continue conducting the camps throughout northeast Indiana.

The camps are part of a larger manufacturing awareness campaign aimed at enhancing the talent pool for the manufacturing industry, which is the largest-employing sector in northeast Indiana.
